Affirming Works (AW) supports the Pasifika community in Auckland, New Zealand, through a combination of mentoring services, programmes and social enterprise.

Our programmes are based on the Pacific values of love, respect, humility and support. Relationships are important to us and we believe that by providing a holistic approach we are changing lives and communities.

Since starting in 2001, the organisation has helped thousands of young people to make a difference in their lives, through various mentoring services, our faith-based family violence programme, and community café.

HOW IT BEGAN

Dynamic duo Emeline Afeaki-Mafile’o and Alipate Mafile’o lead a team of passionate individuals with diverse gifts ranging from youth mentoring and project management, to brewing the most amazing Tongan coffee.
