Empowering Pacific Learners: Bridging the Digital Divide with Our Partnership with the Ministry of Education

 In Community, Pasifika

In the heart of our vibrant Pacific communities, we’re witnessing a silent revolution driven by our unwavering dedication to fostering betterment and empowerment. Through our commitment, we’ve embarked on a mission that echoes the Pacific ethos: “E ua lelei, ua le tasi” (Together we are strong).

Bridging the Digital Divide

The digital divide has long been a barrier for many, but we have taken the lead in shattering these limitations. We delivered 100 Acer notebooks to Year 9 and 10 Pacific learners in Auckland schools through our dedicated efforts and partnership with the Ministry of Education.

Addressing Hardships

For many Pacific households, financial burdens often eclipse educational aspirations. Acquiring a laptop, something most take for granted becomes an unattainable dream. Recognising this struggle, we acted upon it in collaboration with the Ministry of Education. We paved the way for learning without boundaries by providing digital devices, enabling families to overcome obstacles with grace and resilience.

Empowering Education

The impact is tangible, resonating in every corner of these households. Students can now delve deeper into their studies with available resources. The laptops are more than just devices; they’re bridges to knowledge gateways to brighter futures.

As we celebrate these achievements, we also recognise the journey ahead. There’s an undeniable need for more digital devices in Pacific households, a call we are answering in partnership with the Ministry of Education.

The story of our partnership with Pacific learners, made possible by the Ministry of Education, is a story of triumph against adversity. With devices in hand and spirits uplifted, these students are carving a new path toward success. Together, we can amplify our impact, ensuring that every Pacific household has access to the tools that hold the key to a brighter, empowered future. Remember “Tautua i fafo” (Service beyond the home) as we move forward. It’s a journey we’re all on together.

Maximising Exam Preparation: Resources for Students

As our young scholars dive into the intense period of exams, it’s paramount to stay connected with schools, be it liaising with teachers or accessing vital online resources. Beyond revising content, mastering the technique of addressing questions can drastically influence exam scores. To bolster these efforts, we recommend two invaluable platforms:

NZQA Website: This comprehensive hub offers past papers, exemplars, and intricate details about standards and assessments. Delve into NZQA’s offerings for a structured approach to your subjects.
Study Time Website: An essential guide providing subject-specific guidance, tutorials, and strategic insights.

Leverage these tools as you navigate the challenging exam weeks ahead. Best wishes for your preparation and success!
